Bobcat Bounty: Bobcat Bounty is the first student-run, on-campus food pantry at Texas State University. It is run by students under the direction of faculty from the Food Security Learning Community in the Nutrition & Foods Program.

Bobcat Shuttle: provides bus routes serving the City and Campus, as well as information for bus service to Austin and San Antonio.

Career Services: find a job on or off campus, get assistance with job searching, job shadowing, finding an internship, and creating a resume.

Counseling Center: provides free and confidential services by professional counselors to all currently enrolled Texas State students.

Department of Campus Recreation: offers a variety of activities, such as adventure trips, cardio and weight room, intramural sports, swimming, outdoor equipment rental, indoor rock wall, sport clubs, and much more.

Department of Housing and Residential Life: provides welcoming living communities that foster academic success, campus engagement, and personal development.

Dine on Campus: provides information about meal plans, dining locations, and nutrition information.

Office of Disability Services: provides information about services available for students with disabilities.

On-Campus Tutoring/Academic Support

  • The Collaborative Learning Center is a free computer lab and tutoring center open to all students in the College of Science and Engineering. Students from the H-LSAMP Scholars Program offer free walk-in tutoring in the CLC Tutoring Center covering basic and advanced courses in biochemistry, biology, chemistry, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, mathematics and physics.

  • The Texas State University Math CATS, sponsored by the Department of Mathematics, provides free drop-in math tutoring in a personalized atmosphere.

  • This computer lab also has tutors for French, German, Japanese, and Spanish. It is located in Centennial 225.
  • SLAC provides Texas State students with academic assistance in a variety of subjects at no additional charge to the student. Please visit their website to see when tutors in specific subjects are available, when and where SI sessions are held, and to view helpful handouts for various content areas.

  • Student Support Services (SSS) assists eligible first-generation college students, low income students and students with disabilities from all racial and ethnic backgrounds who have a need for academic and other support services in order to successfully complete their college education.
